Aim of Course:
Many prisoners and partners say that the hardest part of a prison sentence is the period after release. Often couples have very differnt expectations and, in many cases, the man has been "on hold" during his sentence, while the partner and family have moved on. The adjustment can be difficult and stressful, and can lead to breakdown in the relationship. The Home Together workshop is a unique opportunity for the couple to prepare for release by talking over, in a structured way, some of these difficult issues.
Subjects covered in the Workshop:
- Work
- Money
- Relationship with partner
- The practicalities of living together
- Relationship with kids
- Avoiding re-offending
